Fort Lauderdale, FL – November 8, 2018 – Greenspoon Marder Senior Counsel Elizabeth Somerstein Adler has been reappointed by the City of Fort Lauderdale City Commission to serve a fourth term on the City’s Sustainability Advisory Board (SAB).
Her responsibilities as a board member include advising the City Commission regarding environmental sustainability; identifying and recommending affordable strategies associated with conservation, renewable energy and energy efficiency; and researching environmentally sound practices that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save money, energy and resources.
SAB has continued the work of its predecessor, the Citizens Sustainability “Green” Committee (CSGC), and continues to make recommendations in the hopes to establish the City of Fort Lauderdale as a leader in environmental sustainability.
Ms. Adler concentrates her practice on civil litigation, including, but not limited to, commercial, construction, zoning, environmental, and land use. Ms. Adler is certified by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED Green Associate for her knowledge and understanding of environmentally sustainable land development practices.
