GREENSPOON MARDER ATTORNEY ELIZABETH SOMERSTEIN ADLER REAPPOINTED FOR A SECOND TERM TO THE CITY OF FORT LAUDERDALE’S SUSTAINABILITY ADVISORY BOARD
Fort Lauderdale, FL – December 17, 2016 – Greenspoon Marder attorney Elizabeth Somerstein Adler has been reappointed by the City of Fort Lauderdale City Commission to serve a second term on the City’s Sustainability Advisory Board (SAB).
Her responsibilities as a board member include advising the City Commission regarding environmental sustainability; identifying and recommending affordable strategies associated with conservation, renewable energy and energy efficiency; and researching environmentally sound practices that will reduce greenhouse gas emissions, save money, energy and resources.
SAB has continued the work of its predecessor, the Citizens Sustainability “Green” Committee (CSGC), and continues to make recommendations in the hopes to establish the City of Fort Lauderdale as a leader in environmental sustainability.
Ms. Adler concentrates her practice on civil litigation, specifically with regard to commercial, construction, zoning, environmental, and land use litigation. She is a certified U.S. Green Building Council Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED) Green Associate, and has experience in the area of green design and construction, as well as an understanding of green building practices, principles and the LEED Rating Systems.
