Michael A. Weiss, an attorney in Greenspoon Marder’s Ft. Lauderdale office, has been selected by the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce as a finalist for this year’s Corporate Chamber Man of the Year award. The 2013 Coral Springs Business Award recognizes outstanding leaders who have contributed to the growth of the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce, and the businesses that serve Coral Springs.
Weiss, who was recently elected Vice-Chairman of the Coral Springs Chamber of Commerce and who has served as a trustee for more than 3 years, helped institute new formats for Chamber meetings as well as showcase presentations and other trustee events. In addition, he serves as the Vice-President of Smiling Faces Forever, a small non-profit that collects and delivers toys to children in Broward County hospitals such as Coral Springs Medical Center, Broward General Hospital, Memorial Regional Hospital, Chris Evert Children’s Hospital and Plantation General Hospital. Through Smiling Faces, he established relationships and key alliances with local charities such as Family Central, Jewish Adoption and Foster Care Options, and hospice groups.
“It is great to see our attorneys dedicated to giving back to the community through civic involvement,” said Gerald Greenspoon, Co-Managing Shareholder of Greenspoon Marder. “It is a true honor to have one of our own selected as a finalist for this award.”
