Las Vegas, NV – June 12, 2018 – Greenspoon Marder attorney, Phillip Silvestri, has been recognized as a “Mountain State Rising Star” in 2018 by Super Lawyers magazine. He has been recognized by Super Lawyers each year since 2012.
Mr. Silvestri focuses on the representation of clients in highly regulated industries. His practice includes representing clients in the timeshare, banking/finance, gaming, cannabis, and alcohol industries in complex default-regulated litigation, bankruptcy, and foreclosure matters; he is also an experienced mediator. Due to his expertise, he is a frequent lecturer on such matters.
Recently, Mr. Silvestri played an integral role in securing an arbitration award of $2.8 million for Westgate Resorts in an arbitration matter styled, NAV-LVH, LLC v. Exhibit A Circle, LLC, finding that Exhibit A Circle, LLC materially breached an agreement. In 2014, NAV-LVH, LLC d/b/a Westgate Las Vegas Resort and Casino signed a 10-year agreement with Exhibit A Circle, LLC to host an Elvis Presley exhibit and show entitled, “Graceland Presents Elvis: The Exhibition – The Show – The Experience”. However, Exhibit A Circle defaulted under the agreement, and Westgate was forced to close the show and exhibit within a year. Mr. Silvestri, along with the Greenspoon Marder team, was able to recover $2.2 million in damages on behalf of Westgate, plus interest and attorney fees, amounting to a total award of $2.8 million.
