Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – March 24, 2025 – Greenspoon Marder LLP is pleased to congratulate Howard Dvorkin, founder of Debt.com and a valued client of the firm, on his receipt of the prestigious 2025 Horatio Alger Award. This honor recognizes individuals who have demonstrated perseverance and integrity in the face of adversity, embodying the values of hard work and resilience. Mr. Dvorkin will be formally celebrated alongside 11 other recipients at a ceremony next month in Washington, D.C.
Mr. Dvorkin’s journey to success is a testament to the American dream. Growing up in Toms River, New Jersey, in a predominantly Italian, working-class neighborhood, he learned the value of hard work early in life. Despite facing personal hardships, Mr. Dvorkin went on to build Debt.com into a nationwide leader in debt relief and financial education. His company, founded as Consolidated Credit Services in 1993, has helped millions of Americans regain control of their finances.
“He has not only built a successful business but also created a lasting impact on the lives of those who have faced financial hardships. It is an honor to work with someone who so deeply believes in giving back to the community,” said Robby H. Birnbaum, partner and head of Greenspoon Marder’s Regulatory Compliance team.
In addition to his professional achievements, Mr. Dvorkin has shown a remarkable commitment to his local community in Parkland, Fla. Following the tragic events at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in 2018, he founded Parkland Cares, a nonprofit organization that has provided over 44,000 hours of mental health counseling to those affected by the tragedy.
Greenspoon Marder extends heartfelt congratulations to Howard Dvorkin on this well-deserved honor. We are proud to continue supporting him and Debt.com in their mission to help people improve their financial futures.
