GREENSPOON MARDER HOSTS STETSON UNIVERSITY COLLEGE OF LAW ALUMNI NETWORKING RECEPTION
ORLANDO – August 19, 2016 – More than 50 Stetson University College of Law alumni gathered for a networking reception at the Orlando office of Greenspoon Marder on August 17, 2016. Stetson Law grads from the 1950’s through this year’s 2016 class mingled and connected over hors d’ouevres and cocktails.
Michael Marder, Stetson Law class of 1977, hosted the event in an effort to bring alumni together to work for the benefit of future Stetson students. “As alumni, it is incumbent upon each of us to foster the futures of Stetson’s new graduates. We need to afford them guidance and assistance as they begin the process of finding firms to grow their law careers,” Marder noted. Christopher Pietruszkiewicz, Dean of Stetson University College of Law, provided an update on Stetson’s expansion of its Advocacy Center, which Greenspoon Marder supports. The Advocacy Center will add six new courtrooms to the seven already on Stetson’s campus, more than any other university in the US, according to Pietruszkiewicz. Marder encouraged the alumni to provide financial support to the school, noting “it can be a small gift, or a large gift, but together we are tied to Stetson by our shared experiences, love of the school, and our desire to support Stetson and maintain its status as a premier law school.”
The Stetson Alumni Association holds gatherings three or four times a year to provide networking and fundraising opportunities. Greenspoon Marder will host an alumni reception at its New York office in Rockefeller Center on November 9, 2016.
