Overview

Michael E. Marder is the co-managing director and co-founder of Greenspoon Marder. Since founding the firm in 1981 with partner Gerald Greenspoon, Mr. Marder has focused his practice on complex business litigation, transactional law, and real estate banking & finance. He has extensive experience in hospitality and vacation ownership law and has helped shape the industry over the last four decades.

Mr. Marder has represented the interests of the largest privately-held timeshare and vacation ownership company in the U.S., as well as numerous other hospitality clients, in a practice that spans all facets of the industry. Mr. Marder uses his decades of experience to create processes to support and guide his clients through project planning, structure, regulatory, financing, title, associations and administration of their properties.

Mr. Marder has a strong background in complex financial transactions, and notably completed a successful asset-backed securitization of timeshare mortgages in excess of $2 billion dollars.

A pillar to communities across the country with his devout commitment to helping those in the need, Mr. Marder serves as Chairman of both the Governing Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of the Victoria’s Voice Foundation. In addition, he is a member of the Chairman’s League of the American Resort Development Association (ARDA) and serves on the Board of Overseers for Stetson University College of Law.
