Orlando, Fla. – March 1, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to represent Jacqueline “Jackie” Siegel and David Siegel in connection to the newly announced Broadway show based on the award-winning 2012 documentary of The Queen of Versailles. The documentary follows Jackie and David Siegel, their eight children, and their dogs as they seek to build a $100 million house in Orlando, Fla., inspired by the Palace of Versailles which would be the largest private home in America.
Greenspoon Marder co-managing director Michael Marder and partner Kathryn Saft provided counsel negotiating the agreement on behalf of the Siegel family.
Tony award-winning actress and singer Kristin Chenoweth is set to star and produce the show alongside Bill Damaschke, who oversaw the release of franchise films, including Madagascar, Kung Fu Panda, How to Train Your Dragon, and The Croods, during his time at Skydance Media. Additionally, the project will reunite Chenoweth and composer Stephen Schwartz, who worked together on Wicked the Musical.
“Our relationship with the Siegel family spans nearly four decades, and we are thrilled to assist Jackie and David on this new project. I look forward to making a trip to Broadway to watch the show,” said Mr. Marder.
