Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – October 16, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder partner Barry E. Somerstein has been selected by the Greater Fort Lauderdale Alliance as a Leadership Council Leadership Award recipient for 2023. This recognition distinguishes Mr. Somerstein for his role as general counsel for the organization and his time and effort on initiatives ranging from Leadership trips and homelessness initiatives to executive board refinements. Mr. Somerstein will be honored this week at the Annual Dinner meeting at the Signature Grand on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2023.
Mr. Somerstein concentrates his practice in the areas of real estate transactional law, finance, leasing, general corporate sports law, and land use. Mr. Somerstein has represented many clients in the negotiation, structuring, and documenting of real estate asset transactions, primarily in connection with hotels, condominium buildings, shopping centers, and office buildings. Additionally, he works with developer clients in connection with the acquisition, permitting, land use planning, finance, and development of large tracts of real estate.
