Greenspoon Marder Partner Deborah Baker Obtained Unanimous Jury Verdict in Favor of Client

Miami – July 10, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce a courtroom success in a recent trial for partner and Director of Attorney Development Deborah Baker. Ms. Baker obtained a unanimous jury verdict in favor of her client after a five-day trial in the Miami-Dade County Circuit Court. Ms. Baker obtained a verdict for her client awarding all damages sought, and the jury found in her client’s favor as to every claim and defense. The jury’s verdict, reached after careful consideration of the evidence presented by five fact witnesses and expert testimony, found for Ms. Baker’s client on its claims for breach of contract, breach of the implied covenant of good faith and fair dealing, breach of fiduciary duty, and violation of the Florida Deceptive and Unfair Trade Practices Act.

Ms. Baker focuses her law practice in the areas of commercial litigation and alternative dispute resolution, with significant emphasis in the areas of business and real estate litigation. Ms. Baker has represented public and private companies in a variety of corporate litigation matters. She has litigated shareholder derivative lawsuits through trial and appeals, ending with favorable outcomes for her clients. Ms. Baker has also advised clients on intellectual property matters, including multinational retail business with respect to a claim of trademark and copyright infringement.
