Los Angeles – June 30, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder Bankruptcy and Reorganization partner Elissa D. Miller has been recognized by the Daily Journal as one of the Top Women Lawyers in California in 2023.
In this feature published by the Daily Journal, Ms. Miller discusses her role as the Chapter 7 trustee for the former Girardi Keese law firm where she has collected about $12 million that will begin to pay back claims against filed against the bankruptcy estate. “And I’m just getting started,” she added.
Ms. Miller is a well-established bankruptcy lawyer and fiduciary, representing secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, and trustees in both Chapter 7 and Chapter 11 bankruptcy cases. She is a member of the Chapter 7 Panel of Bankruptcy Trustees appointed by the Office of the United States Trustee in the Central District of California and serves as a Chapter 11 trustee. Ms. Miller currently counsels a wide array of clients including public and private corporations, financial institutions, high-net-worth individuals, and small businesses, among others.
