Chicago – October 4, 2021 – Greenspoon Marder partner Irina Dashevsky and associate Fabian Limon will be featured speakers at the Chicago Bar Association (CBA) CLE seminar entitled “Doing Deals in Cannabis: What You Need to Know.” The seminar will take place on Thursday, October 7, 2021, from 12:15-1:30 p.m. CST. Along with Erin Alexander, associate general counsel at Cresco Labs, Ms. Dashevsky and Mr. Limon will share their insights on cannabis business transactions.

The CBA is one of the oldest and most active metropolitan bar associations in the United States. The Association’s voluntary membership of 17,000 consists largely of lawyers and judges from Cook County and the State of Illinois.

Ms. Dashevsky advises clients on legal, regulatory, and legislative developments in the highly regulated and competitive cannabis industry. She is also a seasoned commercial litigator. Her practice includes nearly every aspect of the cannabis industry, from state-level licensing, real estate, regulatory and compliance to litigation and M&A. Ms. Dashevsky is a sought-after resource for her knowledge of the rapidly evolving cannabis industry across the U.S., and in particular in Illinois and New York, and her ability to help cannabis and hemp related businesses navigate the complex legal landscape.

Mr. Limon focuses his practice on transactional and business issues impacting cannabis businesses. From entity formation and compliance to facility design and zoning, Mr. Limon assists cannabis companies, related businesses, and investors with market entry and expansion. In addition, Mr. Limon serves as general counsel to cannabis business owners on day-to-day transactional and regulatory matters.
