Miami – April 29, 2024 – Greenspoon Marder announces Louis J. Terminello, partner and chair of the Hospitality, Alcohol and Leisure Industry practice group, has recently been appointed to the Entertainment Development Council (“EDC”) by the Urban Land Institute (ULI). Mr. Terminello previously served a five-year term on the Recreational Development Council.
The EDC’s mission is to serve as a “thought-leadership engine” for its members and the ULI as a whole. It focuses on identifying trends, fostering innovation, and sharing best practices for “invigorating the built environment, engaging in community and creating outstanding entertainment destinations.” The council’s areas of interest encompass entertainment district and urban revitalization, themed retailing, food and beverage, and hospitality, among others. Its membership comprises innovators from diverse backgrounds in entertainment, technology, and development.
Founded in 1936, ULI is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit research and education organization supported by over 45,000 members worldwide. These members represent the full spectrum of land use and real estate development disciplines, working across private enterprises and public services. ULI serves as a multidisciplinary real estate forum, facilitating an open exchange of ideas, information, and experience among industry leaders and policymakers dedicated to creating vibrant communities.
Mr. Terminello, who also serves as the Managing Partner of the Miami office, brings over 40 years of experience in the alcohol beverage and tobacco industry. He has served as a regulator, industry attorney, and industry member. His practice focuses on administrative law and providing legal services to all tiers of the alcohol beverage industry, including retailers, suppliers, and wholesalers. Mr. Terminello handles a wide array of transactional, civil, criminal, and administrative matters for hotels, restaurants, bars, night venues, and package stores throughout Florida.
