Greenspoon Marder Partner Marla Neufeld Featured Speaker on “The Payne Hicks Beach Podcast”

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – June 28, 2021 – Greenspoon Marder third party assisted reproductive partner Marla Neufeld was a featured speaker on the prestigious UK law firm, Payne Hicks Beach’s “The Payne Hicks Beach Podcast.” In the episode “International Surrogacy: Florida,” Ms. Neufeld discusses how international intended parents can best navigate Florida surrogacy arrangements. Ms. Neufeld also spoke about Florida surrogacy laws, the Florida court process, the rights of the intended parents and the surrogate, current travel restrictions under COVID-19 with the associated impacts on surrogacy, and the need for advance planning, and the eligibility of a U.S. birth certificate and passport.

Marla Neufeld is a partner in Greenspoon Marder’s Surrogacy and Assisted Reproductive Technology practice group, which she founded, and represents parties working with a surrogate, egg, sperm or embryo donor. Ms. Neufeld experienced her own infertility journey for many years and ultimately worked with a gestational surrogate to build her own family. She co-authored a book published by the American Bar Association titled, The ABA Guide to Assisted Reproduction: Techniques, Legal Issues and Pathways to Success and was the winner of the Law360, Distinguished Legal Writing Awards, Burton Awards- for her article she co-authored titled, The A, B, Cs (along with CDCs and FDAs) of Regulatory Implications over Assisted Reproductive Technology” published in the ABA Health Law Journal, December 2019.
