Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – February 13, 2025 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that partner Matthew Scott has successfully secured approval for “Nove of Margate,” a 132-unit townhouse development on behalf of Fimiani Development Corporation. This project involved the redevelopment of the former Margate Executive Golf Course, situated on a 21.3-acre site along the south side of Margate Boulevard, west of Rock Island Road.
Mr. Scott and his team effectively managed the land use plan amendment, rezoning, and site plan application processes, entitling the site for a new residential development in north/central Broward County where new housing is sorely needed. The approval of Nove of Margate marks a significant step forward in enhancing residential options within the community.
“We want to thank staff and leadership at the City of Margate for helping us work through the various issues that necessarily come up with the redevelopment of a defunct golf course. We are excited for our client, Mr. Fimiani, and look forward to the project getting constructed and contributing to Margate’s growth,” said Mr. Scott.
