Fort Lauderdale, FL – January 28, 2019 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce the promotion of Dana Somerstein from associate to partner and Kathleen Cerniglia Hipps from of counsel to partner of the firm.

Ms. Somerstein is a member of the firm’s Real Estate and Banking & Finance practice groups. Ms. Somerstein represents clients in a wide range of real estate transactions, including counseling developers and lenders on the acquisition, sale, financing and leasing of both commercial and residential properties. She was selected as a nominee for South Florida Business & Wealth’s “Up & Comer” Awards in 2016 and 2017. Ms. Somerstein received her J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2013.
Ms. Hipps is a member of the firm’s Litigation practice group. She handles matters involving commercial and business litigation, intellectual property, entertainment, construction, securities, insurance dedicated funds, labor and employment, and general corporate work. Ms. Hipps has been recognized by Los Angeles magazine as a “Top Women Attorney in South California” in 2018 and by Super Lawyers magazine as a “Southern California Rising Star” in 2017 and 2018. She received her J.D. from the University of Iowa College of Law in 2008.
