Greenspoon Marder Promotes Six Attorneys to Senior Counsel in 2025

Fort Lauderdale, Fla. — April 9, 2025, Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce the promotion of six attorneys to senior counsel. The attorneys recognized for this achievement include Jessica Berry, Karissa Chin-Duncan, Azadeh Gowharrizi, Ellis Marder, Adriana Miranda and Sabrina Strand.

Ms. Berry is a member of the Financial Services practice group and is based in the firm’s Newark office. She focuses her practice on handling high-volume mortgage foreclosure litigation and representing foreclosing lenders in mediation. She has extensive experience in both secured and unsecured creditor’s rights.

Ms. Chin-Duncan is a member of the Financial Services practice group and practices primarily from the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. She served as a legal intern at a family law firm prior to working at Greenspoon Marder. Prior to joining Greenspoon Marder, she served as a legal intern at a family law firm and the Orlando Police Legal Advisor’s Office.

Ms. Gowharrizi is a member of the Environmental and Litigation practice groups and operates out of the firm’s Los Angeles office. She has over 18 years of experience in complex litigation, including class actions, and dispute resolution at mid-sized and Am Law 100 firms. She advises clients on internal and regulatory investigations and has cross-border experience in counseling foreign corporate clients on litigation strategies and risks.

Mr. Marder is a member of the Litigation practice group and is based in the firm’s Orlando office. He focuses his practice on sports, entertainment, media, technology law, and commercial litigation concerning legal disputes involving businesses often related to contract and property issues. He has extensive experience in drafting real estate agreements and negotiating real estate transactions from start to finish.

Ms. Miranda is a member of the International Law group and is based in the firm’s Fort Lauderdale office. She represents companies and individuals on issues involving property contracts, business, employment, securities, international taxation and litigation. She represents some of the nation’s largest lenders in the areas of distressed assets and lender litigation.

Ms. Strand is a member of the Cannabis and Tax practice groups in the firm’s Denver office. She concentrates her practices on civil and criminal tax controversy, including federal and state taxation, as well as audits and audit reconsiderations. She is the Assistant Director of the University of Denver’s Low Income Taxpayer Clinic and a visiting assistant professor of the practice of taxation at the University’s Strum College of Law.
