Miami – January 2, 2024 – Greenspoon Marder’s Hospitality, Alcohol and Leisure Industry Group successfully represented client Major Food Group (MFG) in the opening of its newest restaurant concept, Chateau ZZ’s – a Mexican restaurant built inside an antique manor located in the Brickell neighborhood of Miami. The New York-based hospitality group’s chateau-themed restaurant marks the first time the manor has been accessible to the public. The group, led by partner and chair Louis J. Terminello and partner James E. Rauh, counseled the client on alcohol licensing as well as land use and local permitting. The team first presented the project to the City of Miami’s Planning Department and Zoning Department staff, and after receiving preliminary recommendations of approval, the project moved forward to the City of Miami’s Planning, Zoning, and Appeals Board (PZAB), and finally to the City Commission for final approval.
“We are very pleased to see Major Food Group’s expansion in the region with the historic opening of Chateau ZZ’s,” said Mr. Terminello. “With a broad focus on neighborhood outreach efforts and support gathered from the surrounding community, we are fulfilled in having delivered legal representation that made this concept come to life,” he added.
