Los Angeles, Calif. – June 30, 2026 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that Asa S. Hami, senior counsel in the firm’s Bankruptcy and Reorganization practice group, has been elected to the Board of Directors of the Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum. Mr. Hami’s 2026/2027 term begins September 26, 2026.
The Los Angeles Bankruptcy Forum brings together bankruptcy attorneys, judges, and other insolvency professionals in the Los Angeles area to support continuing education and collaboration within the bankruptcy bar. Mr. Hami has been a member of the organization for several years and now takes on a leadership role, guiding its programming and direction.
Mr. Hami focuses his practice on corporate restructuring and insolvency matters. He represents debtors, trustees, creditor committees, landlords, asset purchasers, and other parties in interest in Chapter 11 and Chapter 7 bankruptcy cases, avoidance litigation, and related contested matters. He works closely with clients throughout each case to help them understand the issues involved and make informed decisions.
Mr. Hami brings over two decades of bankruptcy experience to his board role, having represented a wide range of clients across industries, including retail, healthcare, manufacturing, and real estate. He has served the bankruptcy bar in several capacities, including as chair of the Insolvency Law Committee of the State Bar of California from 2016 to 2017, after which he served as an advisor to the Insolvency Law Committee of the California Lawyers Association for another year. He has also been recognized as a Southern California Super Lawyer by Super Lawyers magazine each year from 2022 through 2026.
