Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. – March 11, 2022 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that senior counsel Elizabeth Somerstein Adler was appointed to serve on the Broward County Cultural Council. Ms. Adler’s appointment continues her dedication to furthering the Broward County Arts community.
The Broward County Cultural Council is committed to helping artists and cultural organizations by fostering strong and vibrant cultural environments for both residents and visitors. The Broward County Cultural Council is in partnership with the Broward County Cultural Division, which advances arts and culture throughout greater Fort Lauderdale by investing in the creative sector and providing capacity-building opportunities for artists, organizations, and creative talent through events and activities that fuel Broward’s creative infrastructure. The Cultural Division includes the county’s Public Art & Design program, as well as grant programs that provide over $4.5 million in annual support for Broward-based cultural organizations and artists, and engages the community in education and advocacy initiatives that support arts education at the local, state and federal levels.
Ms. Adler is a part of the Land Use and Zoning practice group, and focuses her practice on representing real estate developers and property owners on complex land use, zoning, and environmental permitting matters. Ms. Adler also handles a wide range of zoning, environmental, and land use litigation matters. Ms. Adler is credentialed by the U.S. Green Building Council as a LEED AP BD+C, which is an advanced professional credential obtained by only those professionals with significant expertise in the design and construction phases of green buildings, serving the commercial, residential, education and healthcare sectors.
