GREENSPOON MARDER SHAREHOLDER DAVID JAROSLAW FEATURED SPEAKER AT THE FEDERATION OF DEFENSE AND CORPORATE COUNSEL’S ANNUAL MEETING
NEW YORK– August 2, 2016 – David Jaroslaw, a shareholder at Greenspoon Marder’s New York office, was recently a speaker at the Federation of Defense and Corporate Counsel annual meeting in La Malbaie, Québec. The firm’s client, David Crittenden of Ride Inc., also joined the panel to present “Across Town by App,” a discussion of the rapid changes in technology and the workplace, and whether the law can keep up.
Jaroslaw’s “Across Town by App” article discusses the sharing economy and its impact on new business models in the transportation industry. Our firm recently provided advice to Ride, a company that occupies an even newer niche in the world of apps, sharing, and transportation: it has developed an app that organizes carpools and facilitates travel cost sharing among riders and passengers. The article goes on to discuss the three different business models in the online “ride sharing” sector, and addresses the Communications Decency Act.
Jaroslaw is a shareholder in the firm’s litigation practice group, handling complex civil and criminal matters in both federal and state courts, at the pre-trial, trial, and appellate level. In addition to his busy practice, Jaroslaw is the President and a member of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn Heights Synagogue and is a member of the Board of Advisers of the URJ Eisner and Crane Lake Camps.
