“AMERICAN ROOTS OF JAMAICAN MUSIC: THE LEGACY”
Fort Lauderdale, FL – August 25, 2017 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to support the Pompano Beach Cultural Center’s “American Roots of Jamaican Music: The Legacy”. The event will take place on Sunday, August 27, 2017 from 7:00pm – 10:00pm, featuring world class Jamaican guitarist, composer, arranger, and music composer Eugene Grey, along with singers and dancers performing the music of popular artists Louis Jordan, Harry Belafonte, Byron Lee, and the Dragoneers. The performances will also demonstrate the blending of American and Jamaican music and how they became what is known today as Reggae and Hip Hop.
The Pompano Beach Cultural Center’s mission is to enhance Pompano Beach as the city of culture and innovation by showcasing acclaimed regional talent, empowering emerging artists and creating global collaborations.
