Newark, N.J. – June 14, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder, a leading national full-service law firm, is proud to announce its support for the Rutgers Law School Study on Women in the Legal Profession Fellowship. The groundbreaking study, spearheaded by the law school’s International Human Rights Clinic, Penny M. Venetis, and Kirsten Scheurer Branigan, a clinic alumna and principal of an all-woman’s law firm, will provide implementable solutions to address the impediments to the advancement that women in the legal profession face (including unequal pay and opportunities).
The study will go beyond data compilation and take a proactive approach to understanding and overcoming the challenges faced by women in the legal field. By analyzing the underlying causes of these issues, the study will develop actionable recommendations to foster a more inclusive and equitable legal profession.
Recognizing the significance of this program, Kelly Purcaro, an alumna of Rutgers Law School and a partner at Greenspoon Marder, stated, “I am thrilled to see the creation of the Women in Law Fellowship.
