The firm has teamed up with Partner and Chief Impact Officer, Myrna Maysonet, to support the Emma and Grace Team, benefitting the NICU at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital. After Ms. Maysonet’s own personal experience of dealing with the premature birth of her twin daughters, Emma and Grace, she met several families who could not afford missing work to visit their children in NICU or were deeply concerned about how would they pay for the NICU bill. Since then, Ms. Maysonet launched Team Emma and Grace and has taken lead on raising funds for the Winnie Palmer Foundation to ensure that babies in NICU continue to receive the care that they need, irrespective of the financial ability of the parents. This year Team Emma and Grace was the #1 fundraising team and helped raise over $23,075, more than tripling its 2018 contribution. Team Emma and Grace is the top team in the walk’s five year history. The Winnie Walk provides an opportunity to recognize and honor tiny miracles, families, hospital staff, team captains, and community supporters.
The Orlando Health Winnie Palmer Hospital provides complete women’s care, from high risk births, including one of the largest and most successful Neonatal Intensive Care Units in the nation, to complex gynecological surgeries. Walk for Winnie allows the NICU at Orlando Health Winnie Palmer to provide care for more than 1,800 premature and critically-ill babies each year.
