Los Angeles, Calif. – June 17, 2026 – Greenspoon Marder partner David Gitman has been selected to the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Tax Lawyers. The guide identifies attorneys who handle the tax aspects of mergers and acquisitions, respond to shifts in international tax policy, manage tax disputes and litigation, and advise private wealth clients and family offices.
Gitman is a partner in Greenspoon Marder’s Tax and Corporate practice groups. He brings more than 45 years of experience advising clients on complex transactional and tax matters, with a focus on federal income taxation and the tax implications of high-value real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions, private placements, syndications, joint ventures, and 1031 exchanges.
Gitman also advises clients on property tax issues that arise when entities holding California real estate transfer ownership interests, a process subject to specific reassessment rules under California law. His practice covers the full lifecycle of a business, from formation through dissolution, with particular attention to the tax and non-tax considerations facing partnerships, limited liability companies, and corporations. He works with clients to structure their entities in ways that serve both immediate transaction goals and long-term tax efficiency.
Gitman joined Greenspoon Marder in April 2026, when the firm expanded its Los Angeles office by adding several partners from Resch Polster & Berger LLP.
