With over 40 years of iconic contributions to entertainment law, Kendall was a revered figure internationally. His legacy is marked by an unwavering commitment to guiding artists, actors, and industry executives through the intricate landscape of entertainment law. Motivated by his belief that music is a universal language connecting all peoples, Kendall brought his passion for law, education and global business to empower his clients. From award-winning clients like The Backstreet Boys, Bryan Michael Cox, and Kirk Franklin, he represented all segments of the entertainment industry throughout his notable career.
A co-founder of the Black Entertainment and Sports Lawyers Association, Kendall’s leadership extended to various boards, shaping the industry’s legal landscape. He held roles within organizations such as the Rhythm & Blues Foundation, Living Legends Foundation, Sound Exchange and the DeKalb Entertainment Commission, to name a few. A distinguished educator and graduate of Cornell Law School, Kendall shared his expertise at Benjamin Cardozo School of Law and Georgia State University. His impact resonates in classrooms and through prolific contributions to music trade publications and an acclaimed industry guidebook. Kendall was a sought-after speaker and resource for the entertainment industry and was most recently recognized with the Lifetime Achievement award at the Radio & Records Awards and among Billboard magazine’s “Top Music Lawyers” for 2023.
