Greenspoon Marder’s Lobbying Practice Group represents clients in proceedings at the state and federal levels involving government agencies across the U.S. Our team represents clients in a wide range of regulatory and legislative matters before numerous government agencies and legislatures. Our team of professionals has first-hand knowledge and experience gained by years involved in drafting, reviewing and voting on legislation. At the federal level, we have experience lobbying the U.S. Congress and Agencies including the Departments of Commerce, Departments of State, Departments of Treasury, Departments of Agriculture, Departments of Transportation, Departments of Labor, Departments of Energy and Departments of Health and Human Services.
Government often plays a substantial role in business and, ultimately, the bottom line. Our team of attorneys can assist with the government interface and advocacy requirements of forming or expanding a business, running a highly regulated business, securing procurement contracts with the government, and/or seeking zoning or land use changes. Several of our lawyers have held elected and/or appointed positions and have experience working with the federal government, including lobbyists, and local government officials at many levels, including current and former mayors, city attorneys, and assistant city and county attorneys. Our team has drafted legislation, ordinances, requests for zoning and land use changes, and procurement documents. Our attorneys have represented clients at the city, county, state, and federal levels in front of legislative staff and appointed and elected officials and judges, in legislative, judicial, and quasi-judicial hearings.
