FORT LAUDERDALE, FL (5/8/2008) – In response to rapidly rising foreclosure rates throughout the nation, the law firm of Greenspoon Marder, P.A. has launched a new program called “Homesaver,” which is anticipated to help reduce the number of foreclosures.
“This kind of loss mitigation program focuses on early intervention and opens up a channel of communication between the homeowner, on the brink of foreclosure, and the lender, providing the homeowner with options to save their home,” said Daniel Heredia, a loss mitigation specialist with the firm. “More than 60 percent of homeowners facing foreclosure aren’t aware of all the options available to avoid foreclosure due to minimal communication with the servicer.”
The firm’s Homesaver program is meant to bring the homeowner up-to-date on their loan through a one-time payment or a low-interest payment plan paid over a period as long as 12 months. Also, the program cuts the time usually required to negotiate these kinds of deals with lenders, which is a significant improvement considering that it has been known to take several weeks.
“Everyone suffers when a foreclosure occurs. Therefore our main goal is avert foreclosure, which in turn helps the borrower, banks, our local communities and the economy. This program equates to people – real families – keeping their homes,” said Heredia.
Part of a greater industry-wide trend, the Homesaver program is responding directly to the crisis facing Americans while providing education to prevent a repeat of these issues in the future. For more information on this program, contact Daniel Heredia at Greenspoon Marder at (954)491-1120.
