Greenspoon Marder Partner Harlan Greenman Leads New York City Bar Association’s 2021 Mortgage Loan Opinion Report

New York, N.Y. – August 30, 2021 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that partner Harlan Greenman led a diverse team of attorneys to produce the New York City Bar Association’s (NYCBA) 2021 Mortgage Loan Opinion Report. As Chair of the Finance and Development Subcommittee of the Real Property Law Committee of the NYCBA, Mr. Greenman successfully guided the three-year project that began in 2018, to discuss the latest iteration of a model Mortgage Loan Opinion for New York State transactions. The report constitutes the first re-examination and wholesale revision of the 1998 version New York opinion letter model, which replaced the 1989 report.

Mr. Greenman is a partner in the Real Estate group at Greenspoon Marder. He has extensive experience in all aspects of complex commercial real estate, including financing, restructurings, workouts, development, sales and acquisitions, office and retail leasing, and joint ventures. He also has significant experience in connection with construction agreements, hotel management agreements and architect agreements. He has represented owners, investors and developers of office, hotel, multi-family residential and industrial properties, as well as banks and private lenders in connection with the acquisition, disposition and financing of commercial real property, and represented landlords and tenants in connection with office, retail and restaurant leases, in New York City and nationally.
