This marks the third cannabis entitlement ever granted in the city, and once again, Greenspoon Marder remains the only law firm to achieve this precedent-setting outcome.
Despite the absence of a city ordinance permitting cannabis operations, a staff recommendation of denial, and strong opposition citing federal law, Greenspoon Marder unanimously prevailed before the City of Miami Planning, Zoning and Appeals Board (PZAB) and ultimately secured a 3–2 vote in favor from the City Commission. This approval follows two prior cannabis entitlements obtained by Greenspoon Marder for other clients, further cementing the firm’s unmatched track record in this complex and evolving area of law.
