Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – July 14, 2025 – Greenspoon Marder celebrates the successful completion of the inaugural class of the Future Lawyers Bridge Program, a groundbreaking partnership launched with William Dandy Middle School’s Magnet Pre-Law & Public Affairs Program in January 2025. The initiative, designed to inspire middle school students to explore careers in law while developing foundational skills for lifelong success, concluded with remarkable results after eight engaging sessions, and is already in development for the following school year.
Program Achievements
The Future Lawyers Bridge Program, spearheaded by Partner and Chief Impact Officer Myrna Maysonet, Attorney Evan Glasser, and Impact Liaison Dana Larsen, has successfully engaged 25 attorneys and staff from Greenspoon Marder’s South Florida offices as mentors and instructors throughout this comprehensive initiative, which included:
- Delivering eight intensive 70-minute sessions of in-class personalized mentorship
- Developing and implementing a dynamic curriculum, in collaboration with Pre-Law Teacher Delrose Lumsden, covering foundational legal knowledge, legal writing exercises, negotiations, and mediation
- Conducting hands on experiential learning such as mock trial simulations with an attorney review panel
- Hosting an inspiring in-office “Career Day” Lunch & Learn experience for real-world professional exposure
- Empowering students from diverse backgrounds to envision and prepare for future legal careers
Impact on Student Participants
The program has empowered William Dandy Middle School students to envision themselves in professional roles across diverse career fields—from law and business to technology and public service—demonstrating Greenspoon Marder’s commitment to expanding opportunities for all students.
