New York, N.Y. – August 24, 2026 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that Rob Rando has returned to the firm as a partner in its Intellectual Property, Litigation and Entertainment & Sports practice groups. Rando will be based in the firm’s New York office.
Rando concentrates his practice on patent litigation, handling matters involving medical devices, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, computer hardware and software, semiconductor manufacturing, consumer electronics, AI, autonomous vehicles, and blockchain as well as other intellectual property and entertainment industry disputes and complex commercial litigation. He has served as lead counsel in numerous cases in the Southern District of New York, the Eastern District of New York, and other federal courts across the country.
Rando has extensive appellate experience and has filed numerous amicus briefs as counsel of record or co-counsel before the U.S. Supreme Court and the Federal Circuit in nearly every major intellectual property case since 2006.
Rando has served as a Mediator and as a Fellow of the Academy of Court-Appointed Masters has been appointed as a Special Master in numerous complex patent cases. He serves as a member of the EDNY Litigation Advisory Committee and is a recent past president of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association, which awarded him its Lifetime Achievement Award in 2025. He has been recognized in Best Lawyers in America for Patent Law since 2024 and named a Super Lawyer in Intellectual Property since 2021.
