It’s day 32 of the government shut down and the Alcohol and Tobacco Tax and Trade Bureau remains closed.
According to the agency’s web-site “TTB has suspended all non-excepted TTB operations, and no personnel will be available to respond to any inquires including email, telephone calls, facsimile and other communications
In addition to missing our friends at the agency, all craft-beer, spirit and wine label approvals are on hold. No new product will be entering the market until TTB re-opens. Also, all permitting activities have ceased including the issuance of new operational permits and the amending of existing permits.
Have no fear; however, operational reports and tax payments remain due as scheduled.
