Greenspoon Marder Partner Robert J. Rando Appointed President of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA)

New York – May 9, 2023 – On May 10, 2023, Greenspoon Marder partner Robert J. Rando will assume the role of President of the New York Intellectual Property Law Association (NYIPLA), coinciding with the NYIPLA Annual Meeting and Awards Dinner held at The Union League Club. The event will bring together distinguished professionals and innovators from the judiciary, academia, corporate counsel, and leaders in the IP community. Greenspoon Marder will be hosting a table at the Annual Meeting Dinner with several of the firm’s New York attorneys in attendance.

The NYIPLA Annual Meeting event programming includes a special Continuing Legal Education (CLE) presentation titled “Artificial Intelligence: Where Will AI Take the Law?” in which partner Mark T. Doerr will be a featured panelist.

Established in 1922, the NYIPLA has since served as a vehicle to promote the development and administration of intellectual property interests. The NYIPLA strives to educate the public and members of the bar in this particular field and continually works with foreign associations to harmonize the substance and interpretation of international conventions for the protection of intellectual property. Since 2000, the Association has been an accredited provider of programs, both live and on video, that meet New York State CLE requirements. The NYIPLA is also an active participant concerning current intellectual property law issues across all three branches of the federal government through amicus filings, white papers, programs, and other means of communication and collaboration.
