Greenspoon Marder Recognized by Chambers & Partners, Chambers Women in Law Awards: USA 2018

Fort Lauderdale, FL – May 22, 2018 – Greenspoon Marder attorneys, Evett L. Simmons and Alicia Lewis, have been recognized by Chambers Women in Law Awards: USA 2018. The awards reflect the outstanding contributions to furthering the advancement of women in the law through gender diversity, inclusion, promotion programs and mentoring. Partner, Evett L. Simmons, was selected as an “Inspiring Role Model in Promoting Gender Diversity in the Legal Profession.” Associate, Alicia Lewis, was selected as a “Future Leader in Gender Diversity.” Ms. Simmons and Ms. Lewis will be honored at the Chambers Women in Law Awards on June 21^st in New York. In 2017, Greenspoon Marder was recognized as an “Outstanding Firm in Advancing Gender Diversity and Inclusion.”

Ms. Simmons concentrates her practice in the areas of estate planning, probate and guardianship administration and litigation. She has been recognized by a variety of respected organizations, associations, and businesses. She has been president of several bar associations, including the National Bar Association. She just completed a term as Chair of The Florida Bar Continuing Legal Education Committee and the American Bar Association Commission on Racial and Ethnic Diversity in the Profession.

Ms. Lewis focuses her practice on land use, zoning, environmental and governmental law. Ms. Lewis successfully represents the most prominent real estate developers in the country before federal, state, regional, and local government agencies to obtain comprehensive plan amendments, rezonings, site plan approvals, platting, conditional use approvals, variances, Development of Regional Impact (DRI) amendments, and environmental permitting.
