Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – June 4, 2026 – Greenspoon Marder is proud to announce the successful completion of the second year of its Future Lawyers Bridge Program in partnership with William Dandy Middle School’s Magnet Pre-Law & Public Affairs Program, reinforcing the firm’s sustained commitment towards education, mentorship, and community impact.
Launched in January 2025, the Future Lawyers Bridge Program was created to inspire middle school students to explore careers in law and public service while equipping them with the foundational skills for lifelong success. Following the success of its inaugural year, the program returned for the 2025–2026 school year, building upon its proven framework and deepening its impact on William Dandy students.
“The partnership has made a meaningful and lasting impact on our scholars,” Nichele Williams said, principal of William Dandy Middle School. “Through guidance and commitment, our students have demonstrated remarkable growth, excelling in mock trial competition and debate. These experiences have strengthened not only their academic skills but also their confidence, critical thing, and passion for the field of law.”
Program Achievements
During its second year, the Future Lawyers Bridge Program continued to flourish under the leadership of partner and chief impact officer Myrna Maysonet, attorney Evan Glasser, and impact liaison Dana Larsen, with meaningful engagement from Greenspoon Marder attorneys and professional staff throughout the firm’s South Florida offices. The program included:
- Eight-week immersive 90-minute in-class sessions focused on career exploration, skill development and community impact
- A dynamic curriculum developed in collaboration with pre-law teacher Delrose Lumsden, covering foundational skills, including legal writing, negotiation, mediation, research, public speaking, and critical thinking
- Hands-on experiential learning, including mock trial and dispute resolution simulations reviewed by attorney panels
- Ongoing mentorship from attorneys and staff committed to fostering student growth and confidence
- Empowerment of students from diverse backgrounds to envision future careers in law, business, government, and public service
- Help students prepare for the district mock trial competition—the team won two of three rounds in April 2026—by building critical thinking, public speaking, and real-world legal skills that support their academic and professional development
More than 50 Greenspoon Marder attorneys and staff have participated across the two-year program, demonstrating the firm’s strong culture of volunteerism and community engagement.
Career Day: Real-World Exposure and Reconnection
A highlight of the second year was an in-office Career Day experience hosted at Greenspoon Marder, designed to provide students with meaningful professional exposure and an opportunity to reconnect with their mentors. The event featured a moderated panel discussion led by Ms. Maysonet, with attorney panelists David Kubiliun, Ronald A. Charlot-Aviles, Hannah Rarick, and chief human resources officer Jackie Tully, who shared insights into their legal careers, professional journeys, and day-to-day experiences in the legal field.
The Career Day also included a guided office tour and a celebratory lunch, during which students had the opportunity to engage one-on-one with attorneys who had participated in the program throughout the semester. This setting allowed students to ask questions, reflect on what they had learned, and strengthen connections formed during the classroom sessions.
“Watching this program grow into its second year has affirmed how powerful mentorship can be,” said Ms. Maysonet. “Career Day, in particular, gave students the opportunity to see themselves in these roles and reconnect with the attorneys who have supported them during the semester.”
“Our students are not just learning about the law, they’re learning how to think critically, communicate effectively, and engage with the world around them,” said Ms. Lumsden. “The partnership with Greenspoon Marder brings these lessons to life in a powerful way.”
Program Legacy
The Future Lawyers Bridge Program represents Greenspoon Marder’s broader mission to foster future leaders who will drive positive change in their schools and communities. By investing consistently in young students and maintaining long-term partnerships, the firm continues to demonstrate how access, mentorship, and education can create lasting and meaningful impact.
