Six Greenspoon Marder Attorneys Recognized as 2023 Legal Eagles by Franchise Times

Adam Wasch regularly represents regional, national, and international franchisors in all capacities including compliance with state and federal franchise disclosure and sales laws, strategic growth strategies, dispute resolution, real estate considerations, trademark and branding issues, and mergers and acquisitions with private equity and franchise development groups. Mr. Wasch advises franchise developers in complex franchise transactions and serves as a legal partner to franchise searchers and multi-brand investors.

Evan Goldman concentrates his practice on franchises, working closely with both franchisor and franchisee clients to draft, negotiate, and register disclosure documents, franchise agreements, and related key documentation. Beyond the transactional work, Mr. Goldman regularly represents clients in dispute categories such as termination issues, breach of contract, trademark infringement disputes, fraud claims, and enforcement of non-competition agreements.

Brett Buterick regularly advises franchisors, technology startups, consumer products companies, and established businesses in matters involving licensing, regulatory compliance, and complex business litigation. He has substantial experience in launching more than 60 franchise brands and annually assists companies navigate state and federal franchise registration and renewal laws.

Joseph Wasch provides more than 40 years of experience in concentrating his practice on franchise industry matters, involving business structuring, entity organization and corporate governance, equity and debt financing transactions, mergers and acquisitions, sales of businesses, drafting and reviewing software and intellectual property licensing/sale, employment law and human resources issues, trademark matters, purchase contracts, and complex commercial transactions. He also regularly represents and provides counsel to franchisors, franchisees, large businesses, tech companies, and startups.

Robert Johnson provides over 28 years of global legal, corporate, franchise, and crisis management experience, with advising small and mid-sized companies, specifically social enterprises, start-ups, and minority and women-owned businesses, to help them scale and gain access to capital. He is a licensed business broker and a certified franchise consultant and has vast knowledge in minority franchise development and franchise development of emerging brands.

Natalie Restivo focuses her practice on franchise law advising emerging and established franchise brands. Ms. Restivo has extensive experience with providing general counsel services to franchisors including drafting and reviewing Franchise Disclosure Documents and Franchise Agreements. Ms. Restivo regularly provides franchisors with regulatory guidance on state and federal registrations and franchise document updates.
