Fort Lauderdale, Fla. – July 26, 2023 – Greenspoon Marder associate Monifa Hall has been named as an honoree in the Lawyers of Color (LoC) Hot List for 2023. The annual list recognizes junior and mid-level attorneys working in law firms, companies, and government agencies across the U.S. who show promise in their careers and demonstrate a strong commitment to advancing diversity in the legal profession. The honorees were chosen through a two-pronged process, using a selection committee composed of the editorial staff, fellows, and advisers, that spent months reviewing nominations and researching legal publications to identify the promising candidates.

Lawyers of Color (LoC) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit devoted to promoting diversity in the legal profession and advancing democracy and equality in marginalized communities. LoC provides research, career development, and brand marketing opportunities to its clients. With the initial founding of On Being A Black Lawyer and later On Being a Lawyer of Color in 2008, the nonprofit currently produces additional publications for lawyers with various heritages, including South Asian American, Pacific Asian American, Hispanic, and Native American. LoC is recognized by multiple legal organizations, including the American Bar Association, the National Black Law Students Association, and the National Association of Black Journalists.

Monifa Hall is an attorney in the Litigation and Intellectual Property practice groups at Greenspoon Marder LLP. Ms. Hall focuses her practice on complex commercial and intellectual property litigation matters in federal and state courts. Ms. Hall has experience representing clients in contract-related disputes, international arbitration, intellectual property litigation, and evidentiary and civil procedure issues.
