Greenspoon Marder Partner Arthur Ettinger Named to the National Law Journal’s 2022 Family/Elder Law Trailblazers List

New York, N.Y. – April 8, 2022 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that partner Arthur Ettinger has been named to the National Law Journal’s (NLJ) 2022 Family/Elder Law Trailblazers list. Through the various Trailblazers special supplements, the NLJ recognizes practitioners who have moved the needle and are agents of change in the legal industry.

Mr. Ettinger’s “Trailblazer” profile highlights his core mission to help individuals and make a difference in people’s lives. While his family law practice primarily focuses on complex and high conflict matrimonial and family law matters, Mr. Ettinger regularly volunteers as pro bono counsel for those less fortunate who are otherwise unable to retain private counsel. Mr. Ettinger recently represented a same-sex couple in Suffolk County’s first petition for order of parentage for their expecting child under New York’s newly passed Child Parent Security Act. Prior to the new law, same-sex couples were required to go through unnecessary roadblocks and the extensive process of second-parent adoption, which included home studies with the child. With the new law in place, Mr. Ettinger successfully completed the order of parentage on behalf of his clients before the birth of the couple’s child, through a shortened, streamlined process.

Mr. Ettinger is a partner and chair of the Matrimonial & Family Law practice group in Greenspoon Marder’s New York office. Mr. Ettinger has extensive experience litigating and advising clients in all aspects of matrimonial and family law, including complex financial and custody issues, equitable distribution, child support. He is accomplished in successfully negotiating and drafting pre and post nuptial agreements and separation agreements, as well as litigating and taking such matters to trial when an amicable resolution is not possible.
