Miami, FL – May 7, 2020 – Greenspoon Marder is pleased to announce that of counsel Elizabeth Hughes has been selected as a Vice Chair of the Guardianship, Power of Attorney, and Advance Directive Committee of the Real Property Probate and Trust Law Section of the Florida Bar. The Guardianship, Power of Attorney, and Advance Directives Committee is responsible for the study of and preparation of proposed reforms of existing guardianship and mental health statutes. It is also responsible for monitoring legislative and case law developments relating to the care and protection of the person and property of individuals physically or mentally incapable of caring for themselves.

Elizabeth Hughes is of counsel in Greenspoon Marder’s Wills, Trusts & Estates practice group. Ms. Hughes concentrates her practice to the areas of fiduciary litigation, including litigation arising from estates, trusts and guardianships. She has not only represented clients in such matters but has served and continues to serve as court appointed counsel, ad litem, estate curator, and guardian in Florida probate, trust, and guardianship matters. She currently serves as a Vice Chair of the Guardianship, Power of Attorney, and Advance Directive Committee of the Real Property Probate and Trust law section of the Florida Bar.
