Greenspoon Marder’s Evett Simmons Appointed to The Florida Bar’s Diversity and Inclusion Committee

Port St. Lucie, Fla. – May 13, 2014 – Evett Simmons, a shareholder at Greenspoon Marder’s Port St. Lucie office in the Wills, Trusts & Estates department, has been appointed to the Diversity and Inclusion Committee of The Florida Bar.

The Committee strives to promote diversity within Florida’s legal profession and is devoted to making leadership roles readily accessible to minorities, women, those that are physically or mentally challenged and individuals of the LGBT community.

Simmons primarily concentrates her practice in the areas of real estate, probate and guardianship litigation.

Simmons currently serves on the American Bar Association Commission on Civic Education in the Schools and the Board of Trustees of Florida Southern College. She is the Chair of Greenspoon Marder’s Diversity Committee, past president of the Port St. Lucie Bar Association and former member of the State of Florida Judicial Qualifications Commission and the Board of Directors of Enterprise Florida.

Admitted to The Florida Bar, Simmons holds a court admission for the U.S. District Court for the Southern and Middle Districts of Florida. She received her Juris Doctorate from Mercer University Walter F. George School of Law and her Bachelor of Arts from Florida Southern College.
